Matthew Sorrento Teaches Horror Film Class at Rutgers-Camden
Just in time for Halloween: OFCS member Matthew Sorrento has returned to his alma mater, Rutgers University in Camden, to teach an undergraduate course on horror film. A report on the class and their recent Q&A session with 127 Hours director Danny Boyle, can be found at the Rutgers website. Sorrento will continue to teach film next semester.

Susan Granger to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award
We're proud to announce our own Susan Granger will be given a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Westport Arts Council at Town Hall as part of Westport's Seventeenth Westport Arts Awards. The ceremony will be held Sunday, October 24, and public is invited to attend. More information can be found at the Westport Historical Society's website.
As we mentioned earlier, you can also catch Susan on Turner Classic Movies next Monday, October 25, as she joins their Critic's Choice series. She'll be introducing her father, S. Sylvan Simon's Lust for Gold and her stepfather, Armand Deutsch's The Magnificent Yankee.

Rich Cline to Serve on Iris Prize Festival Jury
OFCS member Rich Cline has been selected to serve on the jury for the 2010 Iris Prize Festival. Now in its fourth year, the Cardiff-based international film fest celebrates the finest in LGBT-themed short films. The festival runs October 6-10. OFCS Top 100: Top 100 Overlooked Films of the 1990s
A new OFCS Top 100 is coming soon: our "100 Best First Films" celebrates the best in directorial debut efforts. Voting is currently underway, and the list will be announced Monday, October 4. To celebrate the arrival of the new list - our first since 2004 - we're taking a trip back in time, reposting our previous Top 100s.
